I am only 27 years old. I am not supposed to have the kind of acid indigestion I suffer through on a daily basis this early in my life! I'm seriously thinking about going to the doctor to get some prescription strength antacids if this does not let up. If I were to live a life where I would for sure not to suffer through excrutiating hearburn I would have to eliminate the following things from my diet forever:
Fruit or any fruit-type derivative.
Marinara sauce, including pizza, pasta, etc.
Every type of soda.
These are currently things I thrive on and it makes me sad to think that I may have to eliminate or cut down on these types of foods and drinks! So, I wanna know, do you get frequent heartburn? If you do, please comment below on what you do to make the pain subside!!

Post a CommentI have tried all kinds of OTC acid reducers too, they do absolutely nothing besides leave a foul taste in my mouth.
I never used to get it but now I get it every so often, especially when I eat tomato sauce or drink tomato juice.
I suffer from Acid Reflects too and since I know what I am not allow to eat in large amounts b/c it going to cause me to have heartburn I try not to but I do sometimes and the pain is baaaad but what can I do...
I can't eat:
] any type of fruit
that is sour. Pizza with extra cheese, some other stuff I can't remember now.
Salty foods, fruits like oranges, pineapples, lemons, pickles [I love pickles

Yeah, no pickles or sour foods for me either!
Oh GOD I feel your pain!!! I have been getting the WORST heartburn of my life the past couple months!!!!!!!! It burns like a B*TCH and hardly anything helps
No soda for me. I can deal with pizza and I've eaten spicy foods pretty much all my life so I'm used to acid indigestion.
A few years ago I was put on heavy painkillers for a back injury and they totally killed my tummy. If I drink soda I know that I will go directly to getting horrible headaches. Not even heartburn anymore, it goes straight up to stomach ulcers

I'm sorry, that sounds awful! I know I should probably cut the sodas out of my life altogether, but I'm just not ready to do that yet!
Karma milk helps me a lot whenever I get heartburns

I got it a fair bit when I was pregnant, but I don't get it much now unless I really load up on food. Definitely go to the doctor, though - acid reflux can really screw some stuff up.
Yeah, that's what I've heard, I can only imagine what the inside of my esophagus looks like thanks to this crap!
Well crap, now I'm worried
I was 20 when I first started getting pains (heartburn's) in my stomach I used to
b/c they were sooo
intense and annoying
that I went to the doc and he diagnosed me with Acids Reflux and he
prescribed some pills to protect my walls from heartburn's

Maybe I will start drinking more milk! Sorry Shi!
I only had a problem with it when pregnant, but Jason is 30 and he has bad acid problems too. He uses Prilosec and Tums.
My hubsy eats tums by the handful too

I got a big bottle of berry flavored tums and I eat them by the handful 1. because my heartburn has been horrible and 2. because they taste like candy and I can't help it
My too buy Tums for my b/f and once in a while I take them too but like I said b4 milk works for me better

I feel for you Ashley. Like Linz, I also had it when i was pregnant and it happened mostly in the last trimester. Now, I get it every once in a while and it's usually when i have pizza, sauce, or bananas. It is very painful and I can't imagine anyone having to live with that on a daily basis.
ewww I don't like tums, they're so chalky. I prefer rolaids but I'd rather suck it up

I buy Prilosec for Jackson and that's enough for him. But if you're suffering you really need to go to the doctor and try Nexium or something. My mom had terrible ulcers, and a friend's dad actually died from cancer of the esophagus after years of leaving it untreated.
Wow, I never realized it could be THAT bad, I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor as soon as I can!
I've only ever had it when I was pregnant. I can't imagine having to deal with it regularly!!
Sounds
like calling that doc is a very good idea.
