Paris Hilton has "Special Needs"
Paris Hilton has "Special Needs"
I just read this article from the associated press. Does this sound like total bullsh!t to anyone else?? Why should this horrible woman get treated any differently than any other "normal" person who may have done the same thing? This infuriates me because it toally validates that fact that she thinks she is above the law. This really could have been Paris's reality check to what the world is really like outside her diluted little bubble of money and parties. Sometimes I get so mad at the fact that I had to be born into a time where Paris Hilton exists. Anyway, here's the article:
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said.
The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.
Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.
Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.
The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail this month for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5.
A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, declined to comment.

Post a CommentI don't understand why she is only serving 1/2 her time, but I sort of agree that she shouldn't be in gen pop.

I do too they'll kill her in a regular jail. At least she has some consequence for her actions she can't come and go as she pleases for almost a month. Maybe this will humble her down a bit not to mention now she's got a record.

For sure, she'd have a huge target on her back in jail, and that isn't necessarily right either.
Time she did go to jail. She gets away with so much.
she should serve the whole sentence... but probably not be in the gen pop, because they would probably kill her, or at least beat the living snot out of her every day.
At the very least, I think she SHOULD serve her whole sentence. I mean, why is her sentence being cut short for good behavior? What "good behavior" has she exhibited except the fact that she actually showed up at for court for a court appearance SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP AT ANYWAY?!?!? If that's what you call "good behavior", then I should be rewarded for all of the things I do everyday that I am supposed to be doing anyway. Oh Ashley, you showed up for work, congratualtions, you get a $1000 bonus. It's such a lame excuse for why she doesn't have to serve the full sentence.

i think she shouldnt be in gen pop either but i dont see how she is already getting a reduction due to good behavior. doesnt good behavior count once you are in jail!!??
That's what I thought too!! Ugh, she makes me physically ill sometimes!

The rich always get hteir "special treatment." I'm just glad that she is in jail, even if it's 23 days or something.
