This time of year is kind of depressing for me for several reasons. One is that the holidays always seem to be more stress than they are worth in the long run, and another is because my birthday is 3 days before Christmas. Now I have found that my birthday celebration either works in one of two ways:
1. I get mucho giftos because I get birthday presents AND Christmas presents.
2. I get the "combined" birthday/Christmas present from douchebags that think that I won't notice.
So I wanna know, what month were YOU born? Since I can only post 10 choices, January and February have to be combined, and so to August and September, sorry in advance!!

Brandon's is December 20th. Our family does him the same way. This year, I'm guilty of pretty much skipping his birthday because we have SOOO much going on (traveling). We are taking him to Chuck E. Cheese & having cake and ice cream, and he did say that was all he wanted to do so... I still feel so guilty though.
Mine is in July, Jason has his in October, and Jake's is in June. I like our birthdays much better! Brandon was supposed to be a late January baby, and that would have been great too.
December. I used to get the combined thing too. But most of the time they combined them for something bigger than they would have done for either, so I never minded.

But I have a December boy, born 10 days before Christmas. I have always tried to make the birthday a separate celebration.
I'm a couple of weeks before Christmas, so my parents never put up the Christmas stuff until after my birthday. I don't think I ever even noticed that, but knowing that now makes me happy.
Woot for May. It's nearly mid-year, and it's awesome.
I don't really mind so much anymore as I am getting older, but it really used to piss me off as a kid, I guess I was a very greedy child!

Everyone else in my family has their birthday in the "summertime", which is stressful in itself. I mean, we have a birthday party like every other week for 3 months!!

My aunt was born on Dec. 25 & she HATED it!
My soon to be brother in law's mother was born on Dec. 25th too. I was brought home from the hospital on Dec. 25th in a stocking that my mother still has. :collectivesigh:
i was brought home from the hospital the day after christmas and the whole family waited to celebrate until my mom and i could be there. my cousins were pissed.
Funny story about that aunt: She is the last of 8. 6 girls & two boys. My grandad wanted another boy so he made a bet with the doctor. If it was a boy the doc would get a nice bottle of Scotch & if it was a girl he would get a can of PBR. My grandad was in the waiting room (this was b/f they let men in the delivery room) & the doc came out, threw his mask on the chair & said "its a godamn can of PBR!"
(he actually like my grandparents, he was just being a
butt)
Thats hilarious about the stocking!!
I worry about the little boy being mid-January, but we'll always make sure that his birthday is a totally separate affair from Christmas. I knew kids in school who had to deal with that, and it was rough.
